Did you use a hair dryer to get some of the bubble ironed out
Yes I did

late to the build, but man that truck is awesome!
Thank you! Welcome
you can use an xacto knife to cut a slit on those bubbled edges and smooth them out. It won't be perfect, but will keep them from becoming a lift point when dust, etc. gets in there.

I still think it looks fantastic. (y)
I’ll do that tomorrow thanks
Got some parts in today2BA58837-6667-411F-93B6-09E051CD8AB8.jpeg

The carb heat sink didn’t fit:( put quick releases for the fuel and throttle. Swapped my carb and got a tgn air filter.

nahh they are metal pawl ones off of amazon. they seem legit but I may be doing something wrong. tbh I have very little experience outside of electric buggies
well same thing, china special lol. the spring inside is probably breaking. id stick to a good ol zen. metal pawl is unnecessary, hell a rovan ps with a plastic pawl was able to turn over my big bore without stripping (until the internals in said pull start broke)

So I’m struggling. I just swapped out my carb for a new 990 I also installed a new air filter and while I had the motor out put in a new crankcase outerwears. I have the truck back together and I can’t get it to start.

I know the truck has spark and compression.

I took the air filter off and there was a bit of fuel on the velocity stack

The engine isn’t flooded

I have the carb set to the stock lsn and hsn settings

Any ideas?
