Fantastic!
I had one of these at home for something else but it works good for the RC cars. Got it for harbor freight.View attachment 60921
You're right: laying my Rovan 5b buggy on a styrofoam box is ghetto. ? Help me do better. Point me to a sturdy fifth-scale turntable/stand. PLEASE!
Now, I'm inspired to put my innovative mind to work. Thanks. ?????Been using one of these and a block of wood for years, mag tray where the iron fits, cheap as chips.
Cheers
Dave
You'll fit in well hereNow, I'm inspired to put my innovative mind to work. Thanks. ?????
????That's using your noodle!
$400 for that thing is ridiculous. And you'd pay $800 for it? There are several members on this forum (who have already commented here) who have replicated all the features of the Axis stand for $180 worth of parts. $130 if you don't want the swivel ($100 of that is just for the Axis vehicle specific fixture plate on top). So basically you're saying the tool tray on the Axis adds $370 to the value.don't' be cheap bro. Get the whole Axis RC Rocket Stand. I promise you won't regret it. Actually, it's a freaking bargain considering the quality for the quality of the fabrication. It should be twice the price. Trust me!

Don't get me wrong, the Axis stand is great quality, but saying it's worth $400+ is just being silly.
I have to concur here. There's no denying that the Axis is a quality piece of kit, but at $400, it's a bit overpriced to appeal to the vast majority of enthusiasts. I've spent less on quality tool chests. There are more affordable options out there.
If you have the scratch and don't need to spend it elsewhere, go for poop, but don't call the rest of us cheap for not spending $400+ on something that simply makes working on our models slightly easier. I'd rather spend the money on hop ups for my rig. Oh wait, I already have!
? This is one instance I'll be happily "cheap" and use that 400 bucks to get me a series of NEEDED replacement parts for my Redcat Rampage XR and Rovan baja 5b. (Of course, I don't envy or begrudge anyone who has the money to throw up and see it rain down in their faces. Wish I had. ?)don't' be cheap bro. Get the whole Axis RC Rocket Stand.
