Blown e type of blow proof diffs on 6s in mine. Just part of the game. Your saving grace is it's super low rpm compared to a nitro or e word.
My thoughts as well, transmission input shaft may easily shear. Has a 7000rpm clutch, not sure how hard they engage or if it will jar. If it is plauged with issues I will change out the diffs and suspension for something larger.

You really need to look into the driveline issues they had with these things when they first did the brushless conversions to the nitro..

Also, what kind of runout is there on the spur adapter?

The truck came with the manual, will review it and see what it has for diffs and determinate if anything needs changing.

The spur gear isnt perfect but it is pretty close. Here is a video of it spinning, you can see a slight wobble but balanced out fairly well when spun up.

The manual isn't going to help you with the conversion I was talking about, which are the closest thing you're going to come to a gasoline engine in it( here's a hint, it shredded dogbones and cups)

If it has any visible wobble, it has too much, and all you're going to do at this level of RPM I tear the thing apart, probably starting with the transmission side bearings.

Deivelime parts generally are to " close enough" situations.

Yeah I had some major issues when I took the 5.9 out and went brushless in mine. All sorted now, save poping the rear diff from time to time. But the 5.9 was rated at something close to 4hp at what 30k rpm. So he may not have the issues we think he will.

You should consider some sort of support for the spur shaft going into the current trans. That's a lot to ask of a little bearing. Although I do t think it will give it up right away. I can almost assure it will eventually go. Your dealing with an engine that produces about 8x more torque then the factory power options.
And I'm also.gonna guess you'll see a big jump at clutch engagement, your rig is about 20lbs or so most of our rigs have at least 10lbs more so the grab isnt as abrupt, as with lighter rigs. You may even consider summing down to a 5 or 6k clutch spring to save the drive train a bit.

I'm more worried about the torque than the hp... the brushless conversion was probably more in line with the torque level...nitro motors had to make the revs to.make power, but the two stroke is going to hit like a freight train on the low end.

I'm honestly thinking he will tear the input shaft bearing up first though, especially if it has run out. That part needs to be machined I'm afraid, and accurately. The drivelines just need to be upgraded.

Much of the wobble comes from the rubber bushings inside of the spur. They compress a bit and causes a bit of runout, seems that it trues itself once it gets spinning.

If the 2spd has issues I plan on skipping right to a baja transmission turned sideways.

Yeah, will need a bigger support bearing for sure, I'd say.

I'm not worries about the run out mate, more worried about the lack of support for the shaft you have adapted to the factory trans input. Really need to seriously consider making a brace for it, or adapting something off a baja. The axles and what not will take it just fine. Well you'll have the normal breaking stuff but that's to be expected.

if that spur holds out then happy dayz?...?
..this is wht the octain should of been.....like....well.....u know wht i means? .not that feking useless 15cc shite thing they used???

I'm wondering how long my 8s savvy diffs will last ??

Getting ready to start it for the first time. Let me know if I am missing anything.

Carb tuned to ORB specs from their video
90 octane Rec. fuel (no ethanol)
Yamalube 2stroke mixed 25:1
A few drops of oil into the cylinder
New air filter, muffler installed
Throttle servo disconnected and on stand

few slow pulls to fill carb ?...then fire er up???

Got the motor running, had a loose carb bolt that gave me a little issue but got it sorted out. Once it started I thought "what did I get myself into". Runs great, had to modify the muffler so it was pointing downward instead of towards the top of the motor. Drive line works decent with the tires off the ground and the spur is "self adjusting" to match the run out. Running it for a while found all the fasteners that need attention and a brace is needed for the motor mount.

Just had to rev it up some.

Lol look at those front wheels go?
