Lot's going on in the 2-wheeled cave....

trashed swingarm bearings on the mighty KX500 . She also needs new swingarm chain guides. Problem is Kawasaki is discontinuing a lot of parts on the K5's and the parts you can still get are expensive ! $158 USD for the 4 needed chain slider parts ! 😠

"slip" do you mean "jumping" out of 2nd ? That's usually from the gear dogs having worn rounded tips, or the gear change forks are worn. Once you open it up it will be pretty obvious...

slip/jump..👍..i can ride it but have to acclerate so slow so it don't slip/jump..☹..so i was riding it but skipping 2nd gear.😁...but its only a matter of time until it jams up☹and or explodes☹🤣

My '73 Kawi H1 trans is well known for sloppy trans shaft end play tolerances from the factory. H1's jumping out of 2nd gear was a major problem. I had Paul Gast of Fast By Gast dovetail undercut the drive side of my trans gears. Problem solved. What a difference when aggressive speed shifting, the trans actually feels like a harsh abrupt "snap" to the next higher gear.
 
the engine is now litterly 2x bolts from being out..👍..gonna do it sun/Mon weather permitting🤞 as its decided to wanna rain lots now ffs☹
...I'm intrigued to see wht im gonna find in my gear box🤔

I'll get a tail tidy and bar end mirrors , and the plan is to drive it for a year. Get an open license and trade it in for a triumph thruxton or speed twin.🤔 before that ill enjoy having a bike 😃 last time I had one was 25 years ago😱

Man that bike is sexy! Those integrated tail lights will be sweet (y) What's your thoughts on a steering dampner? I've been watching these tank slapper vids and curious what you thought about the dampners?

Edit: Speaking in general about the tank slapper vids, not directed towards the Triumph just a general question.
 
Havnt come across any tank slap vids.....
Only real negatives , suspension is not adjustable and nissen brakes up front should be brembo.
