I know what you mean...my eyeballs bounce when I'm stopped on the harley...its the old style rubber mounts and the whole engine bounces in the frame

fek yes..?.but....only 5 gears..☹...very short gears at that....☹☹..i hit limiter EVERY gear 1st go...?.but fek r u moving??....not tbe biggest bhp bike...?..but poop loads of torque.?..an that's were the funs at...?

exactly?...talking of vibes...i nabbed a quik go on a buell lightening few years ago...?..big engine beast..?.rubber mounted ...vibey as fek?

I just found an exhaust leak on my rear cylinder...got dam header pipe has a crack on the edge of the weld for the bracket to hold it steady by the starter..o well ill take it to work Monday and weld it up. @Haric Any advise so it doesn't crack again? Its not the weld that cracked its the pipe at the very edge of the weld

not sure @Rep732. i don't have experience with motorcycle header. got pics?
maybe @Seandonato73 can chime in.
but if i was to guess... what i would do is try to check the installation from the header to the exhaust and see if theres some kind of binding or misalignment going on. ?

They may have undercut the weld on the header. Alignment or vibration issue possible did it in. A pic of the weld would help.

So when the engines running you can feel air coming out and hear like a clicking sound coming from there? Looks like the weld didn't penetrate the pipe instead of a cracked pipe.

@1Coopgt thats correct I just took the pipe off and ill take a better picture now that its off...the pipe cracked around the entire bracket

Just me opinion here. I'd cut the bracket off. Clean up the crappy / loose bits. Welsh a plate over top of it, bit heavier then the exhaust. Then cut the bracket down for the plate thickness and weld that on the new plate. Chances are coop is right, one weld didnt penetrate the base metal correctly, that allowed it to vibrate. Which in turn caused it to crack out.

@Seandonato73 I agree the pipe is a little thin around that bracket ill see what I have to plate around the bracket...cutting it off isn't really an option because I have a feeling it will never line up again

You know what this means don't you??????????? Aftermarket header time ! Get a nice Stainless Steel setup.

These are aftermarket ...rinehart true dual exhaust system..its about $1200 system....im not looking to replace the kit yet...granted i bought this 2nd hand so im willing to work with it for awhile and since I have a bagger I like the exhaust coming out under the bags vs swept headers off the side of the engine
