I'm wondering how long my 8s savvy diffs will last ??
I really think the octane could have been improved, they were set to release a 2.0 version but went under before it hit market.

Lol look at those front wheels go?

Chinesium hub spacers, definitely coming off soon.
i would def consider sum front side chassis rails/braces..?...sum thin'ish ally or sumin?

That is the plan, haven't decided yet. I have a big scrap pile of good aluminum to pick from.

Sure looks like a bastard nitro hybrid with a hefty price tag. Not sure how that translates for folks across pond.

Ive read the various opinions on Rovan around here and really have no say about them. The fact that the 27.5cc only cost $100us helped easily make my mind up. With the cost of the roller, motor, clutch bits etc I am at around $250+/-. If it ends up needing a baja transmission and other misc parts, the total should come in under $400.

It's a ringed heli engine. The price tag is absurd. Rovan doesn't make very good stuff. Typically buying into 1/5 scale solely based on price get you a trip back to the store to buy more parts to fix it again. The engines haven't been known for reliability. Few guys have taken them completely apart and redid them with success. They are pretty sloppy out of the gate.

I cant imagine them running very long if they weren't sloppy. :D If it doesn't last very long, pick up another for $100 or get something reputable since the chassis will be complete.

Pulled the POS hub spacers before something broke. Everything still clears with them removed.

Had to come up with something to get the proper ride height with the extra weight. Big bore shocks with a small bore spring slipped inside of it. Leveled the chassis pretty good for being a cheap modification.

Your the one that said it's cheap toss it and buy another.
Well, you are the one that assumed that "picking up another" meant throwing out the used one. Maybe you were trying to be a smartass...or you've never heard of putting old parts on the shelf for future rebuilds or parts? :ROFLMAO:I choose the latter.
