all leave them the wasy they are as the steering stoppers don't work when the suspentions compressed this was they are good when the car has wight sitting on it.

and what i ment about the uprights being the right way around it one side is hight then the other incase this wasnt picked up from my crap pictures

!!

Here info about your Elcon uprights,,,,

The upright is light weight.
The size is smaller than the standard uprights, smaller bearings are required.
The steering arm is fixed with only one bolt as it fits with an interlocking sleeve/nut in the upright.
The geometry is changed as the points for mounting onto the upper and lower wishbone are shifted by 3mm from each other, this improves the steering of your car.
Assembling materials included (excluded bearings).
Bearings needed: 18700.

So you have two uprights,,,,,
Elcon 18402 L
Elcon 18403 R

Be sure that you have the uprights on right way on your car
This is the Elcon 18402 L,,,,,,,

You can see it on the picture this is the upright for L.

Thanks RonW i thought so but when you adjust the camber with the large section facing up it makes a big change, but like you said and from the picture its the correct way

well i brought the TPS Central hydraulic braking system as seen here

https://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=4967

it should be here soon, i brought this planning of using it with a lsd diff, but for some reason my lsd (locking diff) got lost on the way to australia, i got a refund, but for now funds are limmited due to me not wanting to work for a while, so ill try the TPS Central hydraulic braking system on a new fg alloy diff and see how its goes.

it still worked out cheaper then the alloy gear plate, and front cable brakes

i had other options

option 1

the cable brakes are $200 aud

the 7479 brake upgrade needed for the alloy gear plate $65 aud

the alloy gear plate $75 aud

total $340 aud not including shipping

option 2

and the tunning brake upgrade 8449 $60 aud

the 7479 brake upgrade needed for the alloy gear plate $65 aud

the alloy gear plate $75 aud

total $200 aud not including shipping

option 3

front hydros $285 aud

pluss i needed the alloy gear plate $75 aud

the 7479 brake upgrade needed for the alloy gear plate $65 aud

total $425 aud not including shipping

option 4

no brakes and use the stock plastic gear plate $free

option 5

TPS Central hydraulic braking system $240 aud

total $240 aud not including shipping

option 6

elcon diff brake $160 aud

elcon raised diff mount left $83 aud

elcon raised diff mount right $83 aud

elcon Connection Plate for Diff Brake $21 aud

pluss the alloy gear plate i need $75 aud

total not including shipping $422

option 4, option 5 and option 2 where the ones i like best and option 5 should work better, so i picked option 5 it was the second cheapest option and ment to be the more effective then option 2 and option 4 is not realy an option.

ill just have the see how it goes.

sofar im not impressed with TPS service, i did stuff around a bit at the start with the order, but now im getting pissed off

well i still have not got my TPS order from europe yet, its important to finsh my truck.

i had real bad luck with postage latly ive had a lsd diff lost in the mail, got a refund but still i wanted it to use with the TPS Central hydraulic braking system, but for now ill use a new fg alloy diff.

ive had some custom parts gone walk about from the uk over 8 weeks and nothing.

but atlest PSR and DDM came thru for me and now ive got some parts to finsh the new race ported G260RC motor and my new 668 carb

the TPS order has been released from customs so i should have it in a couple of days, then ive just got to send off the rollcage for a custom steel one to be made and send the fg mt body off to be airbrushed

so slowly its happening, heres a couple of quick pic,s so i can get my fg mt fix, this is some bits and bobs i need to complete the build

i got a new g260rc with the fg mt i havnt used it yet but once i get my TPS order i will be putting it in the fg mt with the race ported head i just got from DDM

well im pritty much finshed the new race ported g260rc that i got with the fg mt the one i pulled out and put my g270rc instaed.

its all new apart from the clutch and the pico kill switch wire and the cy kill switch rubber boot so it sould be a good motor im looking forward to running it

ive swaped the new 603 carb for the 668 carb and all i have to do is install the carb and airfilter and then hopfuly my tps order will be here so i can get to work on the hydro brakes and the rest of the truck.

here are some pictures of the new mill minus the carb and airfilter stack

well i finshed the fg alloy diff, bit of stuffing around

i used tps ultra low friction bearings lol

ams stainless steel diff cover

8 distantance disks

a new fg alloy diff housing

and the 17 tank old diff out drives and diff gears that still are like new and filled it with molly grease

100_0563.webp

the rear end is pritty much done just got to mount it to the chassis and install the 4 mm sway bar and the upper tun buckles

100_0565-1.webp

i got some fg rubber o-rings for the servo saver and i installed 4 like whats in the fg competion 4x4 manual but its gone from a servo saver to a servo killer i cant move it now, so ill take a couple of o-rings off and see how i go

100_0567.webp

the font end is almost done ive jus got to install the front 4mm sway bar, ive changed the top shock mount points and use proper spacers, and changed the camber of the front wheels put in some new teflon bushes, but i could not set it up 100% the way i wanted to cause of the elcon front uprights, the elcon uprights are a pain they run to tight as the bolt holes are off centre, i would rather use the fg alloy front uprights in the future

well ive pritty much got the radio tray and the alloy servo horns sorted, im happy with it.

im going to run all the wiring and the pico thru the bottom of the radio box thru a rubber gromet and make it dust proof.

this should keep it nice and neat keep all the wires out of the way, ive got a new radio box so i can use the old one to do a few practice runs to get it right befor i chop up the new one.
