Usually when choke is applied for first start up ,an choke taken off an a engine dies ,then that is an indication
of a dried up carb. ,the carb is actually a fuel pump an the engines pressure helps pulsate the diaphram in the carb
to draw the fuel from the tank!
Might sound mad but could a faulty fuel tank be a problem with starting? Like does the fuel tank need some sort of pressure inside?

No it dose not ?? vacuum from the piston moving draws the fuel through the carb via the pulse hole?? make sure you needles are se right make sure your fuel filter is ok and hose ok and air filter is not over oiled .

The fuel tank has to breath ,that's why there is that breather in the fuel cap ,some engines have an external
one way breather ,otherwise the tank will get vapor lock ,to check for that ,try starting the engine with the fuel
cap loose ,or when the engine is not running well ,loosen up the cap an see if the engine smooths out!...

They are really simple carbs. The best advice I can give to avoid future issues, is don't run ethanol fuel. They become so much less finicky. Best decision I made when I switched. Ethanol is brutal on diaphragms.

Guys I'm a d*ckhead, when I rebuilt the carb a few months ago, I put the washer and diaphragm where the bulb is the wrong way around ?? I rebuilt it the proper way this time
The carb isn't leaving from the velocity stack anymore, I'm going to try start it tomorrow. Again thank you all for your help??

To correct what Doug said, because hes more or less wrong. The pulse hole send vacuum and pressure to the carb diaphragm. Vacuum when the piston moves up pressure when it moves down. This in turn makes the fuel pump section of the carb work. Go look at the service manual I posted, i believe it goes over operating principals of the carb.

Update, still not starting ????
Its like I've done everything you guys told me, its getting fuel but not sparking the fuel even though its getting a spark ?? fighting a loosing battle
Is it possible that I'm Iver choking the engine? So should I not put it on full choke because it just keeps flooding, I've got 2 new spark plugs and none of them are starting the baja
Could it be that I've fouled the 2 spark plugs with the engine flooding a few times ?
Guys..... it starts
