truelol doesn't hurt to ask, id imagine if they wanted to bad enough they could contact manufacturer, or have a lead on getting dimensions for it.

Hope you get the flywheel figured out! I don't know much on these types of engines. So, since nobody has responded to me with a proper answer on the Flywheel, I guess I'm just Gunna send it and order it, see what happens. Also on the piston, I'm Gunna ask Athena to remeasure it for me and confirm what scooter tuning ca has said and what the machine shop said, just for Athena's word on it because I'm EXTREMELY paranoid and since this is a expensive Engine and has been happening for 10+months, might as well be Extra sure. Oh also, I have 5 or maybe 6 weeks to finish this, if not, were moving to Chicago and that would be a total pain in the ass to bring a unassembled engine and Baja on a road trip to Chicago to move. So I want it fully assembled and preferably running by then. I think it's enough time but don't hold me to anything as you know how this stuff goes usually, I'm Gunna try to get it done in 3-4 weeks so I have time to actually break it in and drive it to make sure there's no issues ?. Oh also, this coming Thursday I pickup my stuff from the machine shop hopefully.
yep it sucks!!!Hope you get it figured out! that "discontinued" word always is depressing to see when its on something you need/want...
i wish it was as easy as saying that! the people don't like to reply! OR sum just don't think outa the box and just talk off specs and stuff.come now a sort it out!
exactly, and thats what i hate. if its a company u'd think they want to sell u their product but sum just cant b botheredMost people if it's too hard or something like so what motor is it from..... or model if they can't it get out of a manual they just don't care and could not be asked .
.... very few people will go that extra mile![]()
Engine specific machine shop or can any other machien shop do it?Give it to the machine shop and let them check everything and tell you whether it will work or not.
OkFind out what piston to cylinder wall clearance is supposed to be and than actually measure the piston and bore. This is only way to safely know because you will be measuring what you are using. Not some screwup at the factory of the cylinder bore or the piston manufacturer. trust me have seen it enough on engines we bore. Actually measure what you are using after you find out the clearance you need.
Ok I'll do a specific engine machine shop ??I've only dealt with engine machine shops. What other types are there? But yeah I meant the engine machine shop. They deal with pistons, cylinders, and rings.
Beautiful engine man??? I'll check and see how many there are (engine machine shops(Too bad your not closer there's a machine shop near me that I use all the time when I build my engines. Richie Machine, good people. These are pics of my Chevy 461 and 406. They did all my machine work and I put them together. Looks good! Sucks they didn't have the exhaust done but good to know they are taking their time to confirm it's right!Ok soooo the machine shop got some things done, the intake manifold, exhuast flange, and clutch carrier.the exhaust and it's mounts will be done Thursday, it was supposed to be done today but the guy wanted to confirm a couple things. For the most part everything was done just as I'd like it, the only thing was the exhuast flange didn't quite line up as well as I'd like to easy fix, and one side on the clutch carrier needs to be filled a bit to clear the chassis, no big deal, I'll do it myself ? I didn't expect it to be perfect as my templates were pretty rough and were made outta cardboard ? but no problem ?. Here's the flange and Carrier. They do Need to be cleaned up. (Clutch carrier on the left, exhaust flange on right)
Not as nice as ALX or RCMAX but it will work and that's all that matters ? I think I'll be trying anodizing later down the road and when I do the clutch carrier and intake manifold (not pictured) will be definitely be getting the treatment
