So I think I got price gouged when I got my baja dragster chassis powder coated so I figured I would give it a go myself. I will need to PC an aluminum front bumper for the baja dragster and some odds and end parts. I ordered the Eastwood PCS-250 starter kit(Kit) and Jegs PC table top oven. I think the oven is big enough for most my RC needs. Wish me luck??
Gun and starter kit $160

Oven $120

$280.00 Doug. Guessing 300 something after buying the powder. This should be cool .

Crucial
Make sure to mask the screw holes. You don't want build up in them or you'll be doing some drilling.
Yeah the starter kit comes with plugs for holes. Thanks for the lookout??

I remember watching Orange County Choppers and them sending parts out for PC and always complaining about having to drill out screw holes and tap the threads because they would forget to ask them.

Oh and check out all the colors https://www.prismaticpowders.com/shop/powder-coating-colo

Local p/c charged me $50. To coat my raw 1/14 excavator undercarriage. Just had to wait till he shot black
Yeah that would've been cool for the shop I used to say but nope he charged me shop minimum of $150. I have him every piece of raw aluminum I could find? Still was too much.

Inform me about powder coating...I assume since it's powder it doesn't get runny. And how does it get the clear coat look? And sorry crucial but that bumper reminds me of a uterus  ?‍♂️?‍♂️
You gotta bake it. I use a small oven
They even have the wrinkle finish. Check this one out I did a while back
