Yeah tell me about it, tried it on one of my first muffler mods on a saw. Lasted all of 5 minuets and stank like crazy.
The metal on this pipe is so thin in that area I don’t think it’s even worth welding. Better to put it aside buy a new pipe grab a header down the road for it. Heck I think I had it for a good 8 years now that’s not to bad.

Me, personally, I'd weld it. Either the tig (which I'm not great with) or spot it together with the mig. From an age stand point yeah that's not bad life from such thing material.
 
I've seen it. I asked about videos specific to the baja because I want to get some ideas on wire routing and where to cut the receiver box, so yes, it does have to be a baja, but thanks anyway.

Its definitely going to be cheaper having it welded.
The cost of FG parts have gone even more insane. 💸💸💸
