P.S., I got to get me one of those trucks like really bad, I got a jones for one.
There goes the tax return... ja ja ja
I dig the 4WD benefits, but still prefer the Baja. It is a much lighter vehicle, easier to toss around and a challenge to drive. Of course it wont do everything as a 4WD in all terrain conditions. On very loose dirt the Baja is at a disadvantage, but in a nice semi compact dirt surface, with maybe some low grass patches, the Baja shines.
The truck is very heavy, and it takes a while for the engine to reach peak power. I prefer the snappiness of the Baja, cant imagine a OBR in it, which thats my next goal. Rooster tails with the stock engine are a joke, must be a blast with some extra ponies, je je.
Donnie; you are comparing two different classes, if you are frustrated a nitro .21 pulled on you, don't even match it up against a 4S lipo Losi truck 1/10, it will do laps all day around your X2. If speed is what you wanted, then a OBR engine should be your next upgrade. The X2 shines in handling and how it goes over rough terrain, the sound, its just closer to scale. The nitro .21 buggy, slap a Novarossi with 30% fuel, and you will never catch it. And there is a guy in rcuniverse and in rccaraction that you send them the nitro engine, and they balance blue print them, putting those little mills to a whole other level.
The number one reason I still have my buggies and other on-road nitro cars, the power on demand is just unique, and the awesome smell of nitro in my car compared to the nasty lawnmower fumes from 1/5th.
