Poor Hörmann HMT, all I got to see was some laying out in the sun on its top and some pushing it by the camera. Looked like fun non the less.

Thats not the Hormann that was laying out in the sun on its top.
But the blue MB pro XL from my brother-in-law :detective:
The HMT XL with modelsport motor had problems with the carb. shaft.
The throtle valve go continues to hang, and is no longer in the neutral position.
The car rides now with my solution for this problem.

This is my solution for this problem.
There will be more solutions ,,,,,,,,

I have made a small bush from nylon with a recess for the O-ring.
The bush is just free of carburettor, and is precisely tailored from the O-ring to the carburettor lever.
The o-ring remains nicely into his place.
So you have no longer problems with sand between the valve shaft again.

There are already many brands of cars ride around with this small bush.
As HPI Baja, FG, Elcon Cleon, Carson and Hörmann.
All the cars in the video rides with this solution, the Hormann at last!

Were you selling these a while back? I thought I saw someone on HBF with the idea.
I would get a few. Great idea.

Yes I have selling this item for a while.
There ride now 55 cars arround here in the NETHERLANDS with this bush.
I can make more, but not in a small production.
From 25 pieces, I start a new production!
Than I will make a new version that use the O-ring from the FG shocks.

Oke,,,

I shoot some pictures for you these week.
I post it here when the pictures are ready.

Ron:clown:

Hi Ron, my compliments for your huge job! I am speechless!

I want to ask you something about your long chassis. I also have a long chassis for my marder buggy but i would like to transform it in a stadium hummer H2, my doubts are about the fitting of a stock body (as your beetle body) over a longer chassis.

Does it fit well over it or are there, in some shops, some extra-long bodies to buy and ready for these longer chassis?

If i buy a stock normal hummer body would i be able to put it over my longer chassis?

Thanks and again many compliments

Riccardo

The beetle pro body fits on an extended base.
I reversed the rear bodyposts together with the roll cage.
Now fits the body back into proper position to support the front damperbridge and the back bodyposts above the motor.
Side plates must also forward and thus fit the side bodyposts again on the body.
A Hummer does not apply because it sits behind the cage, move is impossible.
Here a picture of mine.

Whether you need the roll cage with distance vans places for the butterfly. But then you get in trouble with the air filter. Difficult problem!!

I forget something.
The extension is here ,,,,,
I have aluminum extension tube made for the extension of the roll cage to extend between the front and back.

Here the old and the new one.

No man,,,

Its easy,,,, you turnd the bodypost systeem from your roll cage.
180 degrees and it will fit.
The extension tube can you do to, go to an constructionmarked and you will find your tube.

The ride its a way beter dan the originel lenght.
Go for it!
Do you have the Alu-Tec 535mm plate?
Make pictures and post here on the forum,,,,,, and I help you!

oh, maybe i misunderstood your words. Could you tell me how many mm is the inner diameter and outer diameter of the extension tube? So i can start searching for them.

About the chassis...i don't know, i suppose it is the one you mentioned but i had this marder from a guy with an exchange. He took my 1/8 mugen mbx5r buggy and i took his marder so i don't know if it is...seeing your pics it seems to be it.

This marder has:
front elcon aluminium upper and lower XL arms already (i really don't know if i can use them for a stadium model they are very different in shape respect to the stock stadium front arms)

short aluminium front shocks (i will have to change them for the Hummer setup)

a front mechanic disc brake

an elcon drive train unit (just the part for the clutch pinion and layshaft gear) but he cutted the lower differential support part from it  I can't understand why some one has to buy something so expensive and later to ruin it in this way...doh!

It has an elcon differential brake unit, but also here he modified things in a very dirty way....he made a cut (bad cut!!) on the chassis for the brake disc of the differential. Later he should have tought that it was better to put just some spacer under the differential mounts (the stock plastic mounts) to avoid the brake disc from touching the chassis but now there is a bad cut on it damn!

It has 4 ammo (FG red shocks) on the rear end and a Zenoah G2D  with a marder jetpro pipe

Ah...it also have a gear set by elcon, the helicoidal one...unfortunately the layshaft pinion (16T) has 3 teeth broken and i am not able to find an used one on ebay. Maybe i will buy a pinion set from elcon and i will change gear ratio too

I have to change also a lot...well almost all screws because evidently he used what he had in his house at the moment and i don't like this way to do.

Plus i have to buy all the missing pieces needed to transform the marder into an hummer stadium.

At the moment i have no pics, i will take some shots tomorrow and i'll post them. Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for this long polluting post
