I will build up.....Not that I can't buy one ready to go.....But by doing it my self...
It is more a personal thing....Like hey I did this..if some one ask's........

I need to get a couple of eblows and move it over to the right....
I have a wheelie bar ..I purchased form a guy from austraila Still waiting for it to arrive
that was 10 days ago......Slawhammer

That looks awesome man! Hard to tell that thing is even a Firehammer/Clone any longer! I guess you could always call it a...... Slawhammer? :cool2:

Hey Csp.....What's It say on the wing?...front side....Slawhammer Special.....
Yup hard to believe I was a real basket case when I got it....Most people would have trashed it for junk.....You have been with me from the start of my project....
Ihope other people with a firehammer can use the information...And to be inspired
to do some thing with there firehammer...Just depends what you want to end up with and how much money you want to invest......Thanks for the reply...........Slawhammer

That pipe looks good Slaw, I have a solution for you with that silencer, don't run it. Try it without the silencer see what it is like. Sure does look prety though-I can't wait to see a Marine 4 bolt in your model. How much longer must I wait. lol Well done.

Thanks for the replies guys.....
Clubin as to the silencer you have to use it...it is there to help with back
pressure..to gain more horse power....I already asked ,,before I bought the pipe...
The Fat part is smaller than the RN6012 pipe...But was tols this RN6010 will make better power..from the 3 model Pipe's.......Yeah was woke up thinking the same thing...
I should have just taken the 29CC out and Installed the Marine 4-bolt in....
I will let ya know in a few hours.....Think today is family day...No RC Stuff....
Thanks again My friends,,,Teamchrome,CSP,Trip.Bigger...Eat your heart out dc ..droole
on the pipe....How bad you want it?..Cost ya $500 USD.........
All Replies Welcome......Slawhammer

Firehammer Up Grades

It was late in the evening before I could do any work on the firehammer....
I did some up grades that needed to be done...Replace all 4 shocks with the new FG
cross shocks...changed the rear upper arms with FG arms .. new rose bud joints.. along with raise rear up rights......
Removed the Fg square drive blocks..And in stalled the Fg to baja wheel
adapters....

The old stock firehammer shocks were leaking pretty bad....Felt a rebuild for those were
not worth doing.....

So maybe today I can switch out the engine...And get the new Marine 4 bolt installed..
Enclosed picture of the up grades....All Repiles Welcome.....Slawhammer

Looking good! Can't wait to see the Baja Tires/wheels on that thing.

New Engine 4 Bolt Marine Head Installed

Bigger..To my understanding the Firehammer is based on the Fg Mader platform....
I would think the shocks will work for your buggy....

Csp...The baja termac tires & wheels are Installed...Enclosed Picture....

Clubin...This is for you my friend...4 bolt marine head engine installed.....It only took
8 hours to install ...First remove the 29CC Billet engine...Had to transfer..coil...flywheel
cy clutch case....good thing I looked at the clutch...almost no lining left on the shoes
I transfered the clutch case and installed new shoes & spring.....took about a hour to remove every thing ang transfer parts....Now unbolting the 29 cc engine was a different
story...snapped off bolts in the large mount...So that was a set back...repairing that...
I have another larger mount in shipping some place not here yet...That was my back up mount...But I got this one repaired...New wt771 carb..new uni air filter..with cut down
redneck too fit....Of course had to re index the throttle linkage and recenter the servo
throttle kept hanging WOT....closer look the linkage was hitting the fuel adapter
on the bottom....and staying there..no return.....so I ground off about 1/8" on the hook
..took care of the problem...Oh yeah.. I need a 24mm socket for the wheel nuts....
Go figure..I have ever thing under the sun by that....I had 1 before...But that is a different story.....I did check for spark that looks good....So by the time got all done it is 9PM here and I am to tired to do any thing more.....Going to charge up the battery's
TX & Beetle....Hope to fire it up some time Monday....Enclosed picture.......
All For you my friend Clubin........of the rest of the gang......

Your Beetle looks GREAT Slaw! It really looks cool. Are those the front Baja rims and tires or are you using rears on the fronts? :cool2:

Looking forward to video.....that looks really good with tarmacs. The pipe is unreal, I can't wait to see how it runs with your new engine. You did good!

CSP...yup Baja narrow wheels on the front...Think would be better with wider wheels
I will see how it handles....As to the pipe It shouldreally wake up the Marine engine..

Teamchrome...Not sure if that will work for the firehammer...The lay shaft position
will be different as to thr rear diff gear.....

Pipe.... some Creation....All depends on what you want to achive as the end results...
There are still some minor up grades I can still do yet.....

Thanks you guys for your replies.........

CSP...No ....On the alloy front bulk heads...But I am thinking about it before to long...
I will leave the A-Arms plastic.....I need a weak link.....To ridiged will be bad deal...
Will cost more for repairs later on id a good solid impact....to replace the alloy id damaged..
Just my opinion on this....
I am still waiting for wheelie bar I bought from a guy in Austraila...Been like 20 days
and still no product...Makes me wonder...Buyer beware on the buying...The guy
took the money all right....I may have to go public with this....And expose the guy..
But I don't want to do that .....I am giving the benifit of the doubt It was shipped...

slaw in the point of an impact which is unlikely unless very carless (just my opinion here) depending on impact speed etc etc it is very unlikely you are going to be running in an aera that you could hit something at high speeds,so taking in to account that the impact if any in the first place would be most likely minor all you would bend is your pens on the bulkhead and chassis screws, they are the week point,as for the rear it is unlikely you would do harm there with an impact.i would change them a-arms slaw, with the weight you have added they will rip apart at the turnbuckles....you don't need a week point there, you need a strong point there...(again just my side of it)

your front bumper, tyres would take most of the impact anyway, again like i said unless you are going to be doing some crazy stuff with it.

the great thing about my type elcon a-arms at the rear is they are joined as two pieces and held together with bolts that can allow the arm to move to a distance of 10-to 15 mill aprox either way in the event of a sudden impact...

very cleverly thought out by elcon, they really do there homework with there parts..

just my opinions slaw, that is what this forum is all about man.:)

Are you running with the axel extenders?
I run them on the rear of my Baja and it has made a major differance in handling and cornering.
Might help if you had them on all four corners.
Might help lower the C.O.G. on the Hammer as they are pretty high and like to turtle around tight corners.
Looks great!!
Im ready to work on mine know.
Im done.. I hope , with the Baja.
Im also done with the brushless set-up on the RC18.. Fast little bugger.

It's really come a long way. you started with some clay that needed sifting and created a ming vase

And thats one gigantic vase.

Slaw, keep us up on that alloy guy I was looking at that too. Very inexpensive if I do say so myself. Hope the quality of aluminum is good if you do get it. Bet the shipping is just slow from there. Hope.:clover:
