@MonsterAir I can get some video later, I have 100k with about 10ml of 500k mixed in the front, 500k center and 2k rear. Ive watched and checked some of the 4wd touring cars and their front diffs are almost locked with completely free wheeling rears. Im curious with my roll center and caster as the drift cars I looked at had alot of negative caster in the front like the 5ive t does which isnt what I want. I want positive or 0 caster to get the tire center line to contact the ground more rather than contacting the ground towards the rear with the 14 degrees or so caster. The blocks i have only give 4 degrees in either direction or 0. Also I went with positive camber 1 degree rear for grip and as the suspension compresses it will go to negative camber the front camber is 0 as with negative camber your contact patch gets smaller and the tire will ride on the inside circle towards the side wall. It's a learning curve and alot of testing.

Did you have handling issues before or after you installed all the aluminum "upgrades"? For off-road, a bit of chassis and arm flex actually helps traction. I would be willing to bet with a new stock kit, you'd be faster than that all-aluminum beauty. On-road is different ... and again these cars are not like full scale either, they have much less weight and size etc. So some flex isn't necessarily bad, and sometimes an advantage.

For bashing in a park and flipping off the biggest jump you can find, toss in a center locker. For handling around corners in the dirt ... not so much.

The truck is lowered and over powered for the track. I can drive my truck just fine the way it is sliding, I held 3rd the entire time and got knocked out fighting for 2nd if my clutch holt.didnt back out against the bell. Ultimately what the real issue is the track is too small for 5th scale and the track is shared with 8th scale touring so its too big for them and too small for us. So with what im doing im trying to get a bit more response from the steering.

And yea I know about real cars vs scale thanks for your input.

I thought you said you were trying to find more cornering grip, and a dude with a bone stock V1 5T was whupping you? Sounded more like the issue was trying to find a setup than the track being too small ... hence the input :)

@crucialRC I know, I remember you telling me try mcd tires. I'm just thick headed and wanted to give the 5ive t a fighting chance but the 5ive is just a tad too big for that track. I have been looking into them. What one did you get again?

Do you have any stock 29cc or 32cc engines laying around? Or maybe try a can exhaust. It's big with the baja racing guys maybe it would help your tire spinning issue? Your not on the throttle long at Wagner so a small motor would prob be a benefit

@MonsterAir I do not, I even went down to a 5k clutch spring and its still too powerful lol. In reality crucial is right tho if I want to be serious the 5ive t is just not the rig for wagner.

I got rid of it, tbh I'm glad because the quality just sucks on the fg and the 4wd class is wayy to fast and competitive. Not to mention the carnage

The 5ive is same size as the mcd platform. It's not too big, it's just not setup for the track. It has its limitations that mcd has surpassed for onroad track racing. The mcd is even easier to wrench on than the losi. No oils for diffs, 4 bolts to remove the engine, etc. Try these soft wheels/tires. https://cardinalracing.com/collecti...el-black-17-spoke?_pos=4&_fid=8454dc0e1&_ss=c. Don't forget to pay the extra with Maher for him to glue them.
