Yep that's what im doing with the tape, personally I like the long spikes.

Im Thinking it does look good ?

Debating if I should buy a new body in exchange for thicker rear uprights (instead of stock) ? cuz the brake fluid scrubbing shite sucks. But if the rear uprights are a big problem (being weak) then I'll obviously buy those, function > form.
