Nah, shipping in the continental US isnt as bad as what people think. When I worked at the machine shop, I'd fill in for our parts guy when he went on vacation, had to do the shipping and recieving. I was always surprised how big heavy engine parts shipped, insured to the hilt, for very reasonable costs. Well up till you hit LTL shipments any way. I'd say from pa to ca shouldn't cost more that $65.00 with 2k insurance. Weight is more an issue then size ever was, an we shipped everything from filters to engines, and any parts in or attached to an engine. Best on I can remember a set of 350 chevy heads (cast iron ported, valve job, bronze guides blah blah blah) we shipped to Utah for $35.00...
