?? Not sure if I even can with the cast head is why I haven't done one. Thinking it might m crack when they (machine shop) put the hole in it.Lose is all you like lad, you deffo need one.

You can mate, all the old rcmax 71 didn't have billet heads and had decomp valves.
If you didn't live the other side of the world I'd sort you out as I have a spare alx billet head.

It's not gonna crack the head because its cast. Your dust drilling And tapping a hole after you pick your spot and face it flat.

So you order the decomp valve separately and you have to drill and tap it into the cylinder head?

Yes. I can't do this myself tho, for one my tap set sucks, 2 don't have appropriate drill bits, and lastly, there's fin(s) in the way which need machining out of the way. Gunna be expensive and time consuming

They do, mine doesn't cuz I don't have and ALX head, just a
The stock Athena head that came with my cyl. It don't have a decomp valve cuz it's originally meant for a scooter with a Kickstart.
