Personally I'd pull the engine and take it apart to clean it, likely dirt has been into it so starting it would destroy the internals

The inside of the engine is clean ,as I did have it covered with plastic ,so I am not worried about that ,the rest of
the buggy is dirty as hell because I hadn't cleaned it ,but thanks for the advise!

My goal is to see if I have to kit the carb. from it sitting ,I know the engine runs ,then it will be torn down ,cleaned ,
inspected an lubed ,Iwill also go through it an see if I can make any changes to the structure for improvement.

It is all stock ,an there is some stuff ,like the rear up-rights that need to be replaced with aluminum ,stuff like
that ,I don't plan on keeping that little 23 in there for long ,so I am not too worried about it!...

Thnx Fella's ,this Baja was always pushed to the side ,all of my nitro's always got the upgrades & attention!

Believe me ,I can always shove the Baja back into the shed ,an grab any one of my dozen nitro's to work
on ,I still have to put my basher back together ,as I tore it down last year to do a clean & lube job!....LOL

But I do want to do some work on the Baja ,nothing too extreme ,just mild!...

I liked working on my 1/8 scalers, but the size of the Baja just makes it more of a pleasure to work on. No teeny grub screws all over the place to lose. The only drawback being that I needed a bigger work space. Can't just plop it on my lap table with the tv going and wrench in the livingroom.
This ^^^^. Love the bigger scales, although I got smaller hands, I hate fitting them into tight spaces, Baja is still tight but nothing compared to 1/8 and 1/10. I also love the 3-5mm hex screws on my Baja, instead of the 1-3mm tiny screws that strips really really really easy.

Got this off ,its been a big fete this far ,as I haven't worked on anything in a long time!....LOL....had to pry my ass off the couch!

LOL....It did run until I put it in the shed ,I guess that is what happens when you don't drain the fuel & prep it for storage!

I got the bell off ,I didn't know that the whole carrier bearing came off together ,that is good enough as the bearing
is still in great shape ,the clutch shoes are worn down ,they need to be replaced ,I will show pics of them tomorrow!

Still need to pull shafts & tranny!....

I started tearing it down ,it is the first time that the clutch cover has been off ,I think I got the Baja in 2009 or 10 ,not
sure ,I am anxious to see what the clutch shoes look like!

Looks like a new spur won't hurt?
That's what they look like when you get to run them Z... ?
Yip you right Sean Z dose need a bit of encouragement ?????
Rc + motor + gas = ........ k concentrate now ....you can do it...???????????
