Z, I had to go the Rovan route for rear shock shafts a couple weeks ago. Mine were siezed as well. I just yanked the shafts out of the Rovan cap and used them in the HPI bottoms. Seem to be holding up alright for now. Eventually I'm gonna go the IRC route. Maybe next spring. HPI parts are just getting more and more scarce...

I asked about the tank because you don't have a fancy gas cap on it ,the DDM's don't really fit the Rovan threads on them!

Say what? News to me. I have a DDM cap on mine and it fits fine.

I've had 2 Rovan tanks with the ddm caps. One tank was fine, other tank the cap would not go on ended up stripping the threads. Rovan quality is just hit or miss

I agree with you on that one. I was suprised when he said that about the gas cap not fitting. LOL

shock fluid and shock bottom perches (lost mine when the shaft pulled out) i got off facebook, guy threw in a few spares too (vague description of what exactly he threw in ) so well see what else i got, worst comes to worst i resale it an make my $$ back, but don't hurt to have spares ?

I think its more of a cap thing. My first DDM cap wouldn't screw onto my dbxl. Chewed the fek out of the top thread.?

Yea I bought a ddm cap a while back that I chunked. Wouldn’t fit the Hpi at all and yes it was for the hpi.

Got me parts. So he threw 4 bottom perches (what I need the most, technically I only need 1 but 4 is definitely better) , layshaft with drive gear, idler gear, a transmission case , brake hex, an exhaust clamp, 2 Losi 5ive light buckets (gunna retro fit em to my rig, love the way they look!), Some spare rear arm hiem joints (mine are sloppy and slightly bent to I will throw these on), and a new bellcrank (gunna use this too, as mine is sloppy as all FEK) , and some og HPI stickers, pretty happy ??
Gotta run to the store and get the shock fluid now (didnt order it actually, because I can just go a few miles down the road and grab it).

Shock oil has been acuired ? this hobby town was actually pretty decent. Had a few armas (felony, outcast,ECT) and a 5ive t 2.0 ?
