Progress has been made, Car is back on it's wheels! I cannot fit the symetrical steering just yet, the HPI servo is not compatible with the servo horn that comes with that steering kit, I've ordered the 78kg servo from Tayor RC, that should be here Tuesday. The 45kg servo for the Throttle/Brake is a monster! it now locks the rear wheels up no problems.

I'm waiting on upper suspension arms and the IRC Shocks then it will be done .

:)

Looking good! 🤩

Good servos make all the difference. Ultimately, they are responsible for duplicating your input. The rear brakes can often cause issues when people run a weak throttle servo. Your 81BHMW will clamp your rear wheels at any speed on any surface.

You'll have to reduce the brake throw with EPA.

For consistency, I still recommend the Turtle Racing one piece brake mount with springs. It's excellent - stronger, easier maintenance and prevents drag.

I've often considered front brakes, but never got round to it.

Hi.
I can lock all 4 wheels with my FID brake set and 45 kg servo, I reduced the end point on the servo throw to stop it locking up so often , the set came with carbon disks which improve when you wear the shine off of them.
I got rid of the pipe connectors that came in the kit and used 4mm pushfits .
They are well up to the job and neater to use . 4 swivel elbows for the calipers in metal and 2 plastic Y joiners for the plumbing in, got ones with a hole for bolting to the chassis. This works well for me.

The FID brakes are on the way from China, probably be here next week.

I'm looking forward to fitting them!

Once i get he steering servo I will be able to complete the current setup and take it for a drive.

I would not run a petrol powered car without one .
I am sure I spotted one in one of your pictures , but check before you run.
I like to fit spacers to give nicer stance ,even with the extended wishbone setup on my baja. All my cars run clipless hubs .

Your Baja is very easy on the eye! 😎💯

Kill switch is fitted.

New Steering servo is here, beautiful bit of kit, will get it fitted tomorrow then I can have a rip.

The 78kg servo will be faster and torque-ier than you'll ever need. Combined with center push/pull steering, you'll see an instant difference in steering control - provided your front end is on the ground! 🤩👌

AGF servos are kick-ass.

More progress...

FID Brakes have arrived, servos all fitted and it's ready to test.
