Heat would make a lick of sense tho, as the case was totally blocked by grass, but you would see that (heat marks and such) in the motor like siblues said.

Wait until I finish uploading the video. I watched it like 100 times while editing and I really can't see what went wrong. Other than the crash where I bent up the wing it was a simple run and the engine sounded good. Other than a slight gurgle at take off from being slight rich. I'll post it here tomorrow too.

I think it got cooked mate, no fuel in the carb bulb is probably vapor lock from excessive heat and all that grass blocking the air flow would definitely not helped matters. I've cooked quite a few motors over the years??‍?
Is the inside of the piston still clean or brown?

Empty carb would seem to point to lean failure. Strange it doesn't show signs of heat being as bad as it is. Really sorry it happened to you man.

Hi,
Sorry for you and your engine.
Last time i saw that on a 2 stroke ( Ktm 250 exc) it was the intake pipe ( between carb and crankcase) that was porous at WOT : instantly you're hyper lean and seize the piston.
Check your intake gasket.
Hope it helps

Just watched the video and no clue. Sounded perfectly fine until it stopped running. Didn't really sound like it leaned out. What's the plug look like?

I don't get it. I stripped it down to the block and I cannot see anything broken? Other than the piston of course??

Damn... Im still baffled by why would the carb go empty if it sucked something in, which would make me think that it would be lean damage but nothing really shows lean. Obr ever get back to you?

Plug looks too clean ? I'd say bit lean
Is there a hole in the piston?

Nope. I still think something had to get in it or came loose in it.

Check for broken reeds. I have heard of some cases where this has happened. It use to happen frequently years ago.

If something got in wouldn't the scratches be on the intake side? Cuz those are in the exhuast side it looks like.
Could be wrong tho
