Got some rainy, holiday, off day wrench time in today. Start off with the ESP 34 old faithful. Like I said, I'm gonna throw this in and learn to drive before stepping up to the big boy.

TR billet baja HD clutch housing.

Baja on left. Losi on right.

Cooling clutch plate

Barty flywheel wrench

New clutch shoes with 8000k spring. Old ones look good still, but might as well swap em while its out.

Now time to sort out the electronics. I will be replacing the servos, especially the throttle brake servo with Savox. Futaba receiver installed here.

Replaced the NiMH battery pack with a lipo


Killer bee installed and made it so the whole thing can be removed as one with easy to disconnect connectors on the outside of the radio/batt box.

Not a fan of any of the rtr/factory pieces. All being replaced with quality parts. Orders are in??

19t pinion. I'm gonna throw a 2 speed in for now.

No venting for the bell holder.

Gear plate is super thin.

Back at it again. Strip down was fun but time to start building her back up.

Rcmax bell carrier

Trans opened up and plenty of lube.

Stock gears removed and Blackbone gears and 2speed layshaft installed and greased.

Tranny installed on chassis.

Damn rcmax is thicker than the stock bell carrier so time for some mods.

I had to move the left brace about 12mm to allow it to mount to the carrier. PVC spacers for now but my buddy @Haric is gonna make me some aluminum ones??

Now time for the tranny plate and brake plate. You can also see the RCR pads and rotors.

Looks good on there.

Stock rear hubs and tires wouldn't fit because of the 2speed. So guess I need some BRPs and adapters.

DT1 filter fitted.

I'll get to my radio and battery box install shortly.

Wheelie bar

7x4 BRPs I waited 2mos for don't fit ??‍ Hotting the 2speed layshaft. Why do some have deeper offsets than others?

Put my baja 6x3 on for now while my extended hubs are ordered.

Barty pipe wheelie bar installed

Made a simple wall hanger with some 3/4" rigid pipe nipples, flanges, and foam.

Found a way to mount the included pipe hanger and included wheelie bar support

You can run it in the stock form but the tires are not the best. Also didn't believe it didn't come with a wheelie bar. Also any baja pipe will fit but the torpedo pipe looks good and I feel the balance would be better.
