What part do you find BS? The hysteria over the virus, or those who find the reaction to the virus absurd? Or the ones who think its a conspiracy?

Living in an area that actually has been affected by the virus, I find the conspiracy theories the most hilarious. But I also find the reaction to the lockdown from those not affected to also be of some value, humor wise.

If you're looking for some validation, you're barking up the wrong tree. This poop is real, and it's not a joke. I have family all over the country working in the medical field and concerned not only for their lives down in the trenches, but for those of their children, parents and extended family.

I'm glad your town hasn't been hit. I honestly hope it won't. But don't you think for a goddamn second that this isn't real just because your cozy little burg hasn't been hit by it.

Nobody is looking for validation. If you're afraid of the virus, by all means, stay home. That doesn't mean your fear should be allowed to ruin others lives. I actually live very close to the hot spot (NYC). There is definitely a portion of the population who should be concerned, and should take measures to keep themselves safe. But to speak bluntly, don't make your problem everyone elses problem. It seems rather selfish to destroy everyones elses lives to protect a very small minority. Do a bit of reading about the great depression and just how many lives it cost. Its a hell of alot more than this virus will ever kill. If you can afford to not work for months on end, thats great. Very few people have that option.

Im not sure I believe that. While im sure it reduces the numbers, it doesn't explain such low numbers. We've been "locked down" here for a month. Only we aren't really locked down. Plenty are still working, and basically everyone is still going out now and then. Yet the numbers are dropping.

Aren't you getting government assistance?
If you're out of work because of the virus the govt is paying $750/week here.
So far my wife and I are working from home so we're lucky that way.
If you're out without a valid reason such as getting food or medicine you get fined $1300.
Bars ,clubs,restaurants are still open but for take away only.
Essential services are still working.
Supermarkets and drugs stores are open but you must keep your distance between others while inside.
 
Here is still kind of relaxed. You have to wear a face covering inside of any market, store, etc. Essential work is still the only thing open. Schools are still out until May 15 but will likely be canceled for the remainder of the school year. I have only heard of people being fined if they are throwing parties or bonfires. Govt buildings downtown you have to wear face coverings also.

The problem in the US is population density.
New York has nearly as many people as all of Oz combined.
 
The problem here is like anything else. Just because it’s not effecting you directly, it feels like it’s all BS and you shouldn’t worry about it.

Currently in SFLA Face masks are mandatory every where and stay at home curfew is in place. 10pm - 6am ( which makes no sense to me, but I don’t make the laws lol) honestly I feel no one respects the curfew laws in SFLA. Things like public parks, the beach, clubs bars etc are all closed. But everything else is ON and poppin, it’s crazy!

They announced that school with remain closed for the rest of the school year, which is great news.... schools are already a sest pool of germs, can’t imagine sending my kids back to school any time soon. Right now if they keep school schedules on track they don’t go back till August... I truly hope by then they got shït under control .... ain’t no way in hell im giving my kids any sorta shots and I truly hope some Aśšhôle doesn’t come out with such law ??‍♂️

Anyways, hope you gentlemen doing everything you can to keep y’all family safe. Crazy times we living in from one day to the other.
