Just so you know bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, but not limited to just copper and tin. Other materials can be added, just as bras is typically copper and zink.
Now we do have alloys that include aluminum, manganese, etc. But if it's not pure copper and not brass, it's called bronze.

Shame you don't live closer, I was asking our shop machinist about the bronze we use for brakes, if he thought it would work well for our application, and he said he didn't see why not. We have tons of stock laying around that's work down too far for ride use, but could easily be machined down to rc brake pads.

Once I put it through the mill it will work down fast ever tried to cut a copper bar with a hack saw its VERY FRUSTRATING saw continuously gets stuck so its a good thing to be soft but ya don't want it too soft it about finding a good balance

Yeah no worries Zed . Took couple more pics although I'm gonna have to melt it again coz once I square of the ends its a 1.5mm too short so ill add a couple more grams to it and start over quite pleased its not cracking after being milled

Ok good and bad news
Pads came out great I groud flat spot ont the pins and added red loctite to the grub screws and it was all going dandy then........ I was checking out the piece that goes in the cam. was a bit bent decided to bend it straight.......and it snapped FFS luckily my mate down the road has a spare for me pics
