Here we go, A little rip all went awesome except for I stuffed the front posts through the lexan hood when I rolled it.🤣.. oh well that was worth it, stock driveshaft is still holding up. I'm gonna do a after run bolt and screw check. But I thinks she's close, just maybe a bit more tuning as the temps here keeps changing dramatically.
 
Thanks Bizzer! This definitely makes you look all around you before you fire it up and when she's on pavement, pheeww! she gets even louder🤣. I'm putting my spikes back on tomorrow to get some traction back. When shes warmed up it was definitely like driving on ice and also need to bump up the rear diff as well. Going to run 20 mill. It nose dives hard with out the spares attached as you can see in the vid. New run vids tomorrow if weather permits with my proper setup.🤘😎👍

Damn! I stuffed a flathead in the gears and cranked that feker hard with 3/8 ratchet and loaded with orange loctite, she kept backing out on me too, not anymore! can't remember which socket fits on the end of that shaft for reference, but man I was feking stoked, no problems this time.
 
These vertigo pinion shafts seem to like to back out on us with these big bores and they have concaved bitelock washers on them. I've have to tear mine apart a twice now from it backing out. I need quick release gas tank mounts. Seems that fekers always in the way when shtf.🤣
If I could run my vertigo gears on the beast rc unit, I would likely opt for that if they'd fit. I've had a couple issues with my unit..💩 Also I almost think I need more out of my vekta but I'm maxed out on gearing, the 195mm spike swap might gain me a few digits up top, but nothing to get hard about🤣..maybe it's me. I didn't hold her for long and she still needs tuning. Are any of you guys recording speed on your vektas? just curious. I don't have another to compare to yet.

Well that sucks i figured vertigo solved the issue. And my vekta still have the stock gearing. Im debating about going for the stage 2 speed gearing and id say im at best maybe 35ish mph 🤔
 
TBH I think their quality is kinda meh for being canadian products?..I think. I don't believe it's 7075 aluminum, seems soft to me. But it is holding so far. Not sure everyones need for speed. I'm gonna rig up the gopro tomorrow, it has a on screen GPS speed display..that'll be neat to show everyone

@PortCityRC someone did a test on the vertigo gears w/ a 65cc ‘cept the 24/17.

Thanks brother! Good info!🤘🔥🤘.I bet I had lots of spin with factory tires. I'll get her on pavement..she should be well into the high 60s maybe low 70 according to this. These spikes are 195mm not much taller than treps. 5mm
 
That's actually impressive speeds for being gas and their size. Do the baja gearing setups have just about endless gearing? One dudes pulling 93mph outta 65

I found today while inspecting everything my throttle linkage lock collar had slipped down the shaft and I double them. I should have a lot more power on tap and top end now🤗
 
Port, is your samba silenced or unsilenced? I ended up paying the extra and ordering the pipe with the motor. But probably have to wait another month for everything to get here. Mike said he is having a delay with getting pipes in.

Unsilenced, wish I had both to compare, the torque supposed better with these new steel sambas. Also tbh they are very light for steel if anyone's concerned about the added weight.
