I am happy for you looking ahead in the future.
I love the Losi 5T 2.0, all short courses run them.
Some stock parts are upgrades compared to the first generation of Losi 5's.
All you need to upgrade is a kill switch and a good tunes pipe.
Love the new body Scheme.
Great Choice.

It's a great truck lots of upgrades, motor, brakes, shock caps and a straighter alignment with the drivetrain.
New Body design with lights.
All you need to add is a kill switch and a tuned pipe and your good to go.

As I get aquainted with this gas 5 scale world , I've come across a mighty Quandry !! I've heard both sides , but here's the thing , grease or no grease on tranny gears and pinion and spur , Wich is correct !? I await my reassembly procedures till I get some input here , my Vekta 5 is all across my bench till I feel confident to administer

1. I have rebuilt and updated gears on the center transmission many times.
You must grease all gears inside the enclosed transmission assembly see Pic.
2. I use a dry lubricant see Pic. On all dog bone cups and all CVD dog bones attached to the wheels.
3. Bearings are the first thing to go bad in the transmission see Pic.
4. This is why I updated the CVD rear drive shaft to help prevent bearings from failing see Pic.
Seeing is believing.
Anyway this has been my experience with the Vekta 5.

Just not very good at this electrical part of things I geuss mainly cuz I can freekn read these manuals , the reading glasses bother my decrepit eyes for some stupid reason , anyways I'm trying to figger the kill switch set up on my spektrum dx5c I don't see it unless it's the aux. Assign ? I don't know , help ? ,,,,, Please ?
 
Set it for channel 3 output and use button G as its a momentary...make sure to set up the fail safe in full brake and with the killswitch..this is when you bind it..hold full brake and hit button G with then hit bind...i have the same setup(y)
 
Thanks Soo much , for the help Rep , when my car arrives and I install the switch , you think I could actually have u call me and run through it with me ? I went through a expensive nightmare with my Vekta 5 on this and the help would be very appreciated , but I will try your listing you already made first
