You still running springs on all 8 shocks @Relic-1 ?Well ,,, here goes , exocage you tube dude drilled out his pistons on his raminator ,!! I've always wanted to do it , but didn't know how big to go , now I've got a starting point , 3/32 , is what he used , I might go bigger , I've got double shocks , this is gunna be cool , obsorb instead of bounce like a beach ball , doing it today , I can feel the cusssshhh already !!
When I redid all 8 of my shocks, cleaned each one and checked each one for issues, replaced all the oil, I bought 8 bottles and ended up with 1 bottle left. So 7 bottles did the trick with eight shocks for full oil replacement. I would still order 8 just incase you spill some...don't wanna be waiting for more lol.I drilled out my pistons right after I got the truck after seeing how stiff the suspension was
It makes a huge difference and you wont bend the shock shafts as easy
You could use a thinner oil to achieve the same result but I don't know how thick the stock stuff is and its easier/cheaper to just drill out the pistons
I am dreading the day i have to replace the oil in these shocks Its prob gonna need 20 bottles of shock oil lol
