I've seen several sets of black magic trans gear blow up and destroy everything, layshaft, diff etc. I'll never run them because of it.

Yeah there is a guy I chat to on Instagram. Got some awesome pis of ddm black magic gear disaster iv asked him for them. Ill post them ASAP

Well I have a issue bought some irc extended dog bones a few weeks ago finally decided to open them only came with 3 pins for the dogbones no slots in pins and no set screws to whole the pins in

I contacted John at Detroit since I ordered from them, just waiting a response. No grub screws 3 pins for dogbones no slots in pins. It’s like nobody check this stuff before there packaged

I just ordered front and rear Irc shocks today going to have to check them once they arrive. I have a habit of not opening my packages until I’m ready to install. Can’t do that anymore

The new cups can run with no grub screws same as the alx godzilla kit...... still need 4 pins

John said the same thing they don't come with the grub screws. He is going to send me the missing pin.

They do have the coated shafts I just bought a set of rears. I'm not hip on the blueish hue to the silver on the body though


Grabbed an IRC chassis from Detroit, they only lasted 1 day... I hope it's not blue too. Springs on the shocks aren't silver either

What do you mean the chassis only lasted one day. Did you bend it on your first few runs?

Also you could polish the IRC stuff if you’re really bothered about the colour.

No I had the red rovan lightened chassis chassis with the holes and didn't care for that with muck and grass getting in everywhere. John at Detroit performance had them in stock and they only lasted 1 day on the website, everyone's jumping on them. I'm gonna have these anodized black because the blue is certainly odd looking against the raw and carbon fiber. The shocks I can handle because I want to put outerwears on them or ffr socks.

Thanks DougI was just showing the springs are a blackish dark gray color now and the bodies a blue tint, I was assuming more silvery raw color to match my Taylor bits ..must be the alloy type Robs using or its a funky tinted silver andodize. I appreciate it though

I have that same chassie in black it’s decent are you looking at getting the Irc I was planning on grabbing one also they were on the site for a few hours one day then sold out.

Ah got you mate.
My next build will be with an IRC chassis. The Kraken X3 will become the spare, hopefully to stay that way.
Luckily I have a black one, sorry chaps. You could just paint it though or take it to a powder coater.

They went quick I had a chance to grab one but I wanted my shocks first. Black would have been sweet
