The splash anodizing was a success and also tried rit dye and it does work.
this is the spacer for the pull start

Ignore the color of the engine mount.... it was a test piece as well and it was the mule for trying various sanding and polishing techniques

Went all in on the billet engine case. Its a mother to polish all the tight areas but here's one half so far I still have to polish the other half
