The $350 reedcase engine.

Don't confuse this with my other thread this is a reedcase kit from AreaRC. Engine is from Rofun. "If you were to part this out it would be $60 to $80 more expensive but its worth it".

Arearc kit was surprisingly more high quality then I thought with name brand bearings and seals I thought these would have needed replacement. Even came with a clutch carrier which wasn't advertised with the kit. Bought from Aliexpress for $200. I wish I could say the same for the Rofun engine. It was lower quality then I thought. I know the scratches on the cylinder and piston is no big deal however I would have liked it to be perfect. I guess it'll do. "Buy Rovan kits instead they are higher quality".

Had to fill the inlet port with JB weld. Will do a running video soon. Seems like it has decent compression but I suspect it would be better with a higher quality cylinder. Added Velocity stack and Copper gasket. All for $350.

Cool project, that case doenst look too too bad. you do any extra porting or just filled the original intake for now? Those scratches don't look good at all. But if it performs then ?‍?

I think I'll practice port it. Im not familiar with the 32cc design so it will be good for me to try it on this cylinder. Im gonna eventually get a higher quality head and cylinder so we can only go uphill from here.

Have a bit of an issue now lol. I can get her fired for a sec on choke but I cant make her idle cus I don't have the engine clamped down to anything. Didn't want to strip the baja cus I got red locktite on a few things. Guess ill have to order a lower chassis and clamp it inorder to get her going.

If you don't have a drill just take a hammer and screw driver and make some holes

Its not being dropped into an rc for quite some time. Did this project for fun so I can still do it.

I suspected it might be a copy but I wasn't sure as I do not own a bart reedcase. I DID notice it looks close to the Gizmo design but I was never sure if Gizmo came out with a reedcase.

That's definitely not Bartolone.this is a real bart case. The area rc one looks like a knock off v1 tr case

Yes. However it would hurt performance.

It would be cool to compare H/P/ from a REED 32cc to PP 32cc motor
