well little update.

after the bashfest weekend my new servo setup worked out great but the kpower servo did not.
the kpower servo overheated very quickly, to be fair it was getting very hot in the old stock vertical servo mount.

imo the kpower servo's are not upto the specs they suggest. I would almost half what the specs suggest.

so I switched over to the old stock losi 5t steering servo and it never overheated and worked well for the rest of my runs.

I have the option to use the dual carbon steering servo mount that comes in the brushless conversion kit for now but I still only like to run a single servo.

I don't think I am going to be racing 1/5 scale any more so the demands for a dual servo setup is probably not needed.

so question. do any of you only run x1 servo for steering? and if so what servo do you use?

thanks bud, im torn at the mo as I can get a used spektrum s9020 for the same price as a new hitec 840.

not sure which to go for. its always a gamble buying used electronics lol

I run dual stock servos for steering and it works great. it will save you a bit of money over aftermarket ones and still give great performance

Will probably regret not taking your advice chaps but I have went for the spectrum s9020 servo. 65kg at 7.4v should be enough ?

its done for!

winter build commencing after my next run out.

going to give it one last run with the obr so I can compare it to the new 10hp electric setup.
