You need to go back about 20 or so pages to the last time you ate a Spur gear. You had to much slop between the gears and never corrected it . Until you get a better mesh you are just going to keep eating gears Z. I really couldn't see any wobble in your pinion gear/shaft . Any wobble I saw was induced by your palsey causing your camera to shake.
well then your going to have to believe me then . because there a good bit of wobble, period. everything else in my setup is perfect. no slop in any bearings, no fiddlesticked up mounts or bent chassis. this is literally all there can be. last time i put it back together (2 weeks ago or so), i remember the gear mesh going in sand out, in one spot it was loose (like you saw), and on the other side it was quite tight (could feel it too) . at that time i was pissed off and thought maybe it would just break in, obviously it didnt. its gotta be that clutch bell. and you guys saying "theres too much slop in your mesh" or "something is messed up in your setup" without any suggestions or redundant ones aint helping jack poop. nor is the few bs'ers who hang around my thread just to laugh at my issues (you know who you cunts are) . rant over

Stop being a little female dog. Did you measure the gear like I suggested?
yes , doesn't look to be bent in any particular way. yet it still wobbles. so i think the hex was machined wrong. my calipers also arent digital nor are really accurate , so theres that
side note: one can only take so much bullshit before they say something :cautious:?

that last vid you put out ???? the drill wobbles more than a 90 year old whore at happy hour?‍♂️??? and
and none of the have plastic gears????????‍♂️
Um, yeah I'm talking about the hostile gears. Sure they are poop, but they shouldn't be breaking like that with an lil 30cc when others are running bigger motors without issues. And I don't do any crazy jumping , and I now let off throttle when it's airborne, learned that 2 spur gears ago.
Yeah the drill was wobbly, but look at the end of the video , around 33 seconds, you can see it moving up and down.

Wish I could help but I know nada about bajas. I'm with coop and also didnt see enough wobble in the pinion to warrant the eating of 5 spur gears??‍♂️ Something else has to be up Z.
Well that's absolutely nothing else .
Spur gear doesn't wobble when it's on the layshaft so the layshaft ain't bent. Theres no play in anything. And there's no mesh adjustment with bajas so you I can't just move the engine to adjust mesh. And it's all stock poop.

Ok. Looking at this spur gear it looks as tho the the engine is cocked to left causing the wear on the inside of the spur. Idk if that's even possible w a baja tho
It is possible, but very unlikely because everything is stock. That usually happens when it's a mosh pit of aftermarket stuff. This is stock stuff so I don't think so . You guys may be right about the clutch bell, maybe the wobble ain't enough to do what it's doing. But until I find another person who has the same type of thing (wobbly Pinion) , I don't feel comfortable dropping 40 bucks on a spur gear just for it to get possibly damaged by the same issue.
If it was just a tiny bit of wobble , sure I'd send it. But the mesh changes quite a bit as you rotate it, in some spots it's fairly loose, some it's perfect, and others it's tight and binds slightly.

Take a look . Here's the spur and pinion back in,
Here's in one position, and when I roll it over to a different spot look how tight it gets. I'm thinking about doing what Mr.C said, go with a stock clutch bell and pinion and see how the mesh it.

Btw layshaft ain't bent. Check it, and spur gear runs true.

Sean buddy, I think hes talking about us? wassup fellow cunt??

Go to harbor freight and buy a fiddlesticking caliper you cheap ass. Good god, you cant check poop if you cant measure poop. And btw were in America we measure in inches and thousandths. Now take your pinion gear off and start measuring to see if the gear is out of round or not. Christ set this pinion against the stock one to check. And see if any teeth stick out farther. Did you put the clutch bell on a straight edge? Use your garbage old calipers for that, or a ruler. Start speaking stuff out or throw it in the trash and get a new set up. don't ask for help then say I cant because my other poop is broken when you just went through 5 spur gears, 2 of which would have covered the cost of a cheap dial caliper. And don't throw a little female dog fit that I scolded you. I'm sick to death of hearing the same regurgitated my poop is broke and I don't know why. Time to find out or stock up on spur gears.
