I just gotta say this man. Rid yourself of every single Rovan bit you have left from your last build.

It's like you have some strange ghost hanging over you from your Rovan days, and until you get rid of every last nut and bolt, you are cursed to have everything go wrong.

I have done everything I can to wreck my Baja and it keeps coming back for more. I've hit stumps, I run lean, I chew up rocks with the damn thing, and I can't come even close to the amount of crap you've had to deal with. Hell, I ran 3 tanks through it with the pinion not fully seated on the bell and all it did was make my spur gear ugly and noisier.

You are in serious need of an exorcist.

Nah isolators feked ? they ain't expensive so it's not that bad but a bit of a setback.
Woooooow. You are so lucky bud. There is enough dirt their to cost you 3 engines.

I'm thinking when you tighten the carb up this go around, don't use you wanking hand ???
Yeah in going to torque it to spec.
new bolt new isolator block and you smiling ? ?
Yep that's the plan. Goin to buy the same obr isolator, cuz I've had good luck ?

?I wonder why that aluminum isolator works good but the rbmod isolator sucks?
Those fins do nothing but absorb the heat, they are so close to the head and not enough air flow actually goes over those fins I think.
Waiting on my clutch spring , tires, and exhaust coupler so the wait won't be that bad. Really want to try it out with all that extra grip and the 9500rpm take off ??

Aluminum absorbs heat ,an stays hot until the heat source is shut off ,it heats up faster an cools off faster is all!

Aluminum was primarily used for a light weight durable material!

Yeas, but such a big ass manifold would absorb more heat I would think. Either way, its useless crap ??
Obr one is 25 bucks, comes with all the gaskets and a big ass carb spacer to keep the heat off. Mine worked well so I will buy again ? even in 93+ degrees at WOT all the time, zero heat soak ?

The fins may block or restrict the air from flowing through the rest of the engine ,yea what you you were saying!...(y)

Approximately how long does a plastic isolator last before it warps? Bit tight on $$ atm and I have a plastic one lying around (brand new, came with my carb when I bought it) so I want to use that until I get money for the alum one.

Not sure exactly. All depends on how well you engine is tuned. I believe they only distort when overheated or over tightened.

Heat an over tighten is an issue ,however ,if you really examine it on how it mounts ,it is a push pull warpage as
two opisite ends are tighten ,two ends are tighten to the head while the other two's bolt pressure go the other way in
which causes the warp!

I don't have a torque wrench ,nor do I trust them ,Z ,I don't do it good & tight ,I do it by feel an Ive wrench on this stuff
so long that I pretty much know how tight that I can go with them with out stripping or over tighten anything!

Rather have some stuff come loose then to have a stripped thread or broken off into!...

Damn that’s a lot of dirt in the intake. Are you sure ur engine didn’t suck up any dirt ???

Ur A patient fella. I personally couldn’t deal with a rig like urs that breaks down every fuçking ride. That’s crazy!
Cylinder and piston look fine so I hope not. Was ran like this for an hour (obviously I didn't know) so if it had the motor would already be fiddlesticked.
This type of stuff can happen to any rig, not a Baja thing. Pretty rare for it to happen though .
